Entertaiment

Entertaiment – A broad category of amusements or leisure activities, from personal choices made for one person from among the enormous array of pre-recorded entertainments available; to a banquet arranged for two, with appropriate music and dance; to performances for thousands. Often the word is associated with amusement, but entertainment can also have serious purposes, as in ceremony, celebration, religious festival, or satire. The word derives from the Medieval Latin inter tenere, from the Indo-European root ten, meaning “to stretch” or “stretch out.”
